Community access · Woodford QLD

Out the gate and into town

The groceries, the GP, footy on Saturday, a gig in Brisbane, a week away up the coast. If it matters to you, we’ll get you there and be good company on the way. Living rural should not mean staying home.

Which one’s you?

Four kinds of call come in about getting out and about. There’s a good chance one of them is yours.

NDIS participants who want to be out every week, with a worker who feels like good company.

Acreage and long driveways, where the nearest shop is a drive and a licence isn’t an option.

Your list, your day

Community access shifts look like whatever is on your list that week. Company and a lift, with the roster stamped on nothing.

wherever your heart desires

Errands & shopping

The grocery run done together, list to boot. Chemist, post office, the bank, and the op shop on the way home.

02
Appointments

Organised, driven to, and someone beside you in the waiting room who knows the questions worth asking.

03
Social & recreation

Markets, mates, the pub lunch, the movies, the beach. Company and a lift.

04
Concerts, footy & events

Live music, the Broncos, the Woodford Folk Festival. We do the tickets, the parking and the crowd.

05
Supported holidays

A day trip or a week away, interstate if you like. Your worker comes too, so the routine and the fun both travel.

06
Getting around on your own

Public transport, the scooter, budgeting for the day. Skills built out in the community, where you’ll use them.

The Quad Care difference

Company you get to pick

Community access only works when you like the person in the passenger seat. So we match workers to your interests and personality, you meet them first, and if it stops feeling right, one call fixes it.

Other ways we can help

Most people mix a few of these. One provider, one roster, one phone number.

Two people sitting and talking in armchairs in a living room at home
In-home support

Personal care, meals, housework and medication, from workers you choose and keep.

A Quad Care therapist working with a child at a desk in the therapy room
Kids skill building

Cooking, craft, science and silly sports, therapist-led, for kids at the Woodford hub.

A family and their Quad Care support worker walking the paddock, dog in tow
In-home respite

The same support at home while family get away, for a night or a fortnight.

Before you pick up the phone

The questions people ask first

Yes. Our workers drive Quad Care vans, including wheelchair-accessible vehicles, based in Woodford. Transport can be funded through your NDIS plan depending on how it’s set up, and we’ll tell you plainly what is covered.

Your worker turns up with your list. Shopping and appointments one week, the beach or a gig the next.

Yes. Supported holidays are a regular part of what we do, from a day trip to a week interstate. We plan it with you and your coordinator so the funding and the roster are sorted before you go.

Our Woodford hub at 50 Archer St runs group activities and skill building sessions with other participants, alongside the allied health clinic, gym and pool.

Across Moreton Bay, the Somerset and the Sunshine Coast hinterland: Woodford, D’Aguilar, Kilcoy, Wamuran, Caboolture, Morayfield, Beerwah, Landsborough and beyond. Not on the list? Ring anyway.

Usually, under Core supports for social and community participation. Your support coordinator or plan manager can confirm the line item, and we’ll help if you aren’t sure.
