On August 12th, 2023. Quad Care opened its first ‘hub’ in the small rural community of Woodford, South East Queensland. The balloons and biscuits were blue and green in true Quad Care fashion, the cupcakes were loaded with icing and the face paint was thick with unicorn dust. What an amazing achievement for our clients, staff and business, to finally celebrate the opening of this space together! Opening day was a new beginning to the end of a very long road of trial, error and success! We are so proud to not only share such a wonderful existing community space with our clients, but with our new Allied Health Team members and Community Activity Facilitators. For us, this is the first place in the NDIS space, where everything is in one place. Where funding doesn’t become a hurdle because there are other options within the same place to support and achieve everyone’s goals.A place where the coffee is warm, the books are many and the space for families to sit back and take a breath knowing that their people are supported, is just down the road in our rural community!Thank you to the beautiful Ninghy Ninghy Dancers for helping us acknowledge country and empowering us with new beginnings, cleansed spirits and open minds. Thank you for being part of our special day! Also, a wonderful big thankyou to our support from the Woodford Lions Club! Thankyou for the fantastic sausages and ice cold drinks throughout the day! Finally thank you to Lilly, Mel, Amanda, Papa and Telle for making the day such a wonderful success we can’t thank you enough!
Meet Your Allied Health Team
We’re excited to introduce Tim, our new Exercise Physiologist! If you’re wondering what an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (or EP for short) does, they create personalised exercise programs (including Hydrotherapy in our heated pool at The Hub) that are safe and effective. Then, they work with the client to help them exercise and achieve their goals. As well as doing these great things, Tim is an all around great guy. He’s looking forward to joining the Quad team and to meeting you all 😊Book an appointment with TimUSA Accessible holidays
Zac and Dani visited the USA for the Quad Ball World Cup! You can learn more about this weird and wonderful sport by clicking on the logo. They brought with them one of our beautiful support staff Chelsea who assisted Zac in his role as a Dad! The team visited Richmond, Virgina and watched Ruth (Dani’s sister) play in the world cup, then headed up to New York and then Canada to see the beautiful Niagra Falls! The trip wasn’t without it’s challenges navigating airports with wheelchairs and mobility equipment, not to mention a baby! But the USA proved a great place to start for an overseas accessible holiday! If you’d like to book in our accessible holidays somewhere either in Australia or overseas, contact our Service Manager Amanda on 0408 185 999 or alternatively e-mail amanada@quadcare.com.au to see how we can support you to meet your travel goals!
